All orders that need to be returned need to have an RMA (Return Material Authorization) number before being shipped back to us.
The Memory fits into system; however the system will not recognize memory:
1. Try blowing in the socket to dislodge any dust or other particles that may cause the gold contacts to not line up properly.
2. Make sure the memory is seated properly, by this we mean making sure that the module snaps into place, don't be afraid to use force as this can require up to 5KG of pressure to accomplish on some systems/notebooks.
3. Update the bios, some manufacturers of systems will not recognize the new memory without an updated version of the bios, some common manufacturers are listed below:
Compaq
Dell
Hp
IBM
Lenovo
Sony
If after trying all of the above you still cannot get your system to recognize the new module or the system will not boot please proceed to our RMA (Return Material Authorization) form and we will help you get the correct memory you need.
The Memory stick is too short, too long, or other hardware gets into the way:
Chances are you have the wrong type of memory or your system requires modules built using a specific height. Please fill out our RMA (Return Material Authorization) form completely and we can help you locate the correct memory for your system.
